About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Logistics Readiness Center, in Fort Hunter-Liggett, CA.
Duties
Coordinates civilian training for the organization.
Creates administrative and management related reports such as manpower reports.
Provides advice and guidance to the Director and/or Chief of Plans and Operations on how to implement operational changes.
Monitors, coordinates, and maintains civilian personnel and pay actions, manpower documents and reports.
Prepare a variety of requests for personnel actions to include awards, pay, work schedules, and training.
Provide staff logistical support in areas such as supply and services, maintenance, and transportation.
Maintain statistics on the civilian workforce to include excess and vacant positions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
- This position may require the incumbent to Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.
- This is an Obligated position based on overseas assignment of prior employee. Incumbent has five year statutory return rights to this position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing management policies, procedures and systems for logistics support, 2) advising leadership on the implementation of operational changes 3) preparing and/or initiating personnel actions, using automated systems and 4) preparing and analyzing logistical reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
