About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position. Please see "Additional Information" section below for further details.

Duties

Coordinate logistics support to serviced organizations through activities within the organization. Interpret guidance from Agency or Command to develop local operational guidance. Personnel Management to include planning, organizing, assigning and reviewing work. Make technical decisions to resolve policy and logistics procedure matters involving logistics commodity. Create reports to brief decision makers on program status and recommend actions and initiatives to enhance logistics management efficiency and effectiveness. Develop sustainment resource requirements to ensure unit readiness and mission accomplishment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret (Tier 3) security clearance.
  • Travel, approximately 10% of the position incumbent’s time to temporary duty locations by various means including commercial and government aircraft, and motor vehicles may be required. Overseas travel may be necessary.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. The employee may be required to work overtime.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
