The Community Relations Service (CRS) is the Justice Department's "Peacemaker" for community conflicts arising from identity-based disputes.CRS provides facilitated dialogue, mediation, training, and consultation to assist these communities to come together, develop solutions to the conflict, and enhance their capacity to independently prevent and resolve future conflict.

Duties
The duties and responsibilities for Supervisory Program Manager generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage and direct training and development efforts to support Community Relations Services (CRS) staff in delivering training effectively.
Make recommendations to leadership regarding emerging program areas requiring training.
Oversee development of new and updated program training content.
Oversee the development and implementation of external training.
Ensure a consistent approach to employee training and development.
Plan and direct CRS' technical training activities.
Establish a variety of training methods, such as simulation exercises, mentoring, professional development, and continuous learning.
Lead evaluations of CRS' standardized programs.
Oversee development of technical training-related policies and procedures to support CRS' staff.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Program Manager at (GS-0343-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the (or equivalent to) GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Developing, researching, and launching training programs intended to resolve civil rights conflict on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability, programs on multi-party conflict, civil rights mediation, and leading the evaluation of such programs; Developing, researching, and launching training programs intended to prevent and respond to hate crimes and incidents on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability, programs on multi-party conflict, civil rights mediation, and leading the evaluation of such programs; Broad understanding of community civil rights conflict resolution theories and techniques and utilizing such techniques and theories to inform training products and programs.
