You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the Network Operations Branch N63, Mission Support Department of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE.
Duties
You will work collaboratively with the N4/N6 leadership as well as with representatives of the DoD and Other Government Agency stakeholders, to assess and -term and long-range operational requirements
You will Identify, investigate, and provide findings and recommendations on a wide range of technical and project management risks that must be overcome to address operational requirements and comply with regulatory and security standards.
You will contribute substantively to these investigations and analyses to define and weigh alternative approaches to addressing validated NetOps requirements, and to make expert recommendations as to which approaches best serve the program
You will develop technical strategies and plans for near-term to long-range development of NetOps system designs, acquisition criteria, testing standards, integration and implementation plans, and sustainment programs.
You will provide expert technical analysis and expertise for the design, development, integration, and initial implementation of new and enhanced NetOps hardware and software.
You will provide feasible-for-implementation solutions to emergent NetOps challenges or operational requirements not achievable using existing means.
You will lead the continuing capture and analysis of performance metrics and periodic testing as is essential to quantitative assessment of system administration functions and services.
You will manage the execution of the CUS data link interface architecture and acts as the action officer responsible for directing, reviewing, and submitting operational requirements to support the outlining tactical data link picture.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role codes 411 and 802, proficiency level Advanced, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying information technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, and standards to design, develop, integrate, and implement joint multi-tactical data link network systems, hardware, and software across life cycle phases, including capability enhancement and expansion, to satisfy the information exchange requirements of warfighters that are facilitated by data links technology. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
