This position is in the Farm Service Agency, Louisiana State Office, located in Alexandria, Louisiana.
About the positiont: Povides support in areas including administrative support, project assistance, control/tracking of daily correspondence, control of and full responsibility for the Director's and Deputy Director's daily calendars. Responsibilities also involve analyzing and evaluating administrative program functions; preparing special reports as deemed necessary.
Duties
Provides a variety of administrative and management services essential to the direction and operation of a division under FSA Headquarters.
Functions include activities related to administrative analysis, facilities management, security, travel, budget, purchasing and invoicing, tracking and project administration.
Manages a variety of administrative processes and ensures that procedures meet office needs and are consistently understood and followed by the staff.
Establishes and continually reviews, updates, and develops complex administrative office procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work within the office and with parties and agencies outside the organization.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 12/10/2024 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined.
Specialized experience for the GS-7 level:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, social or behavioral sciences or in such fields as business or public administration or industrial management, psychology, labor relations, or education from an accredited college or university with either: 1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; 2) a 3.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale for required courses completed in a major field of study during the last two years of undergraduate study; 3) class standing of upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision of the college; 4) membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, excluding freshman honor societies -OR-
One year of graduate education from an accredited college or university with a major in human resources, social or behavioral sciences or in such fields as business or public administration or industrial management, psychology, labor relations, or education -OR-
One full-time year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level of the Federal service that demonstrates experience providing administrative support to coordinate priorities, commitments and program goals of an office. This includes providing technical assistance for support services, budget/project tracking, program analysis and skill in using various software packages to prepare reports -OR-
A combination of graduate education and experience as listed above.
Time in grade for the GS-7: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the GS-5 grade level.
Specialized experience for the GS-9 level:
Two full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or master's, or equivalent graduate degree (LLB, JD, LLM, Ph.D., etc.), from an accredited college or university with a major in human resources, social or behavioral sciences or in such fields as business or public administration or industrial management, psychology, labor relations, or education -OR-
One full-time year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level of the Federal service that demonstrates experience providing administrative support to coordinate priorities, commitments and program goals of an office. This includes providing technical assistance for support services, budget/project tracking, program analysis and skill in using various software packages to prepare reports; experience includes coordinating the work of others and independently setting procedures and guidelines for others to follow -OR-
A combination of education and experience as listed above.
Time in grade for the GS-9: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the GS-7 grade level.

Education
