Job opening: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Salary: $104 861 - 136 323 per year

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Operations and Systems of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will develop and/or recommend changes in funding and budget plans that may require revisions to substantive programs. You will use Business Intelligence systems and tools to support development of financial reports for analysis and to assist leadership in decision-making. You will participate in various Business Process Working Groups, providing NAVFAC perspective, specific information and technical opinion. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management You will participate in the development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Occasional travel away from the normal duty station is required
  • You will be required to obtain, maintain and use a Government travel card.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying principles, methods, laws and regulations of financial management analysis and/or budgeting practices to support an organization's plans and requirements. 2. Gathering, assembling, and analyzing financial data to provide accounting and budget reporting. 3, providing mentoring and training for funds control. 4. Determining alternate solutions to resolve financial management issues. 5.Coordinating and prioritizing work efforts, planning and delegating workload, and providing oversight as needed to ensure timely and efficient completion of work. 6. Performing Funds Control in ERP, creating decision sheets in CFMS, and Decision Lens 7. Creating decision sheets and using Decision Lens to communicate changes within and between FECs and LANT.
