About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division, Budget Division, Operations and Maintenance Army Reserve Branch, Resource Management Office located at Moffett Field, California.
Duties
Develop policies for the Command budget system.
Evaluate internal control systems to ensure efficient and effective management of government resources.
Review and approve obligations and expenditures of funds.
Analyze budget requests to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Monitor budget execution to ensure funds are properly allocated.
Re-distribute or adjust funds within accounts in response to change in programs or functions.
Research accounting transactions using automated financial systems.
Supervise program and staff operations.
Identify, distribute and balance workload in accordance with established guidance and management priorities to ensure that deadlines and quality of work are met.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires DoD Financial Management Certification Program Level 2.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating fund adjustments; reviewing fund utilizations; identifying misuse or misallocations of funds; recommending corrective action; utilizing automated commitment/obligation ledgers; and advising staff and/or supported units on budgetary regulations and guidance.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
