About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division, Budget Division/Operation and Maintenance, Army Reserve Branch, Resource Management Office located at Moffett Field, California.
Duties
Analyze program functions to determine impact on operations.
Receive, distribute, and administer funds to include annual funding program, allotments, allowances obligation authorities, reimbursable, and other funds instruments.
Analyze trends in funds utilization, and prepare periodic cost and performance reports to compare actual with forecasts.
Provide guidance concerning the legal and regulatory aspects of the acquisition and use of funds.
Recommend reprogramming of funds to ensure balance is maintained among major activities.
Serve as the command?s point of contact for budget automated systems.
Supervise employees engaged in budget development and execution functions.
Plan and adjust work assignments based on workload and priorities.
Develop performance plans and counsel employees on work performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires DoD Financial Management Certification Program Level 2.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes formulating and analyzing budget estimates and/or budget execution plans; forecasting current and future funding requirements; coordinating and resolving special financial problems; advising management on budget execution; and supervising budget operations and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
