About the Position: This is a permanent IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) position with Army Central Command located on Shaw AFB, SC.

Duties

Serve as a Program-Information Systems Security Manager (P-ISSM) who holds primary responsibility for maintaining the overall security posture of the information systems within the organization. Develops the organization’s cybersecurity program, which must address cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies; cybersecurity personnel; and cybersecurity processes and procedures. Provides recommendations and advice to superiors on ways to improve information technology (IT) training and staff management methodologies. Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policies, as appropriate, and review the results of such monitoring. Administer a cybersecurity management control evaluation program in support of force protection assessment teams. Assess policy needs and develops policies to govern IT activities, providing policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers for a regional Enterprise Installation Campus Area Network. Performs the full range of program management functions, with responsibility for the effective and efficient program operations in accomplishing the directorate and command’s cybersecurity mission.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Special Sensitive/SCI clearance required.
• Pre-employment and random thereafter drug testing required.
• Temporary duty (TDY) up to 25% required.
• Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD 8140 Information Security Manager.
• Position is designated as Key. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Key duties until relieved by proper authority.
• Overtime and irregular hours may be required on short notice.
• Shift work may be necessary during crises, contingencies or exercises. Incumbent may be required to temporarily work extended and irregular tours of duty to include days, nights, shift, and weekends.
