Duties

As a Public Health Analyst (Policy & Issues Management) you will: Serve as an Associate Director for Policy and Issues Management Team and Supervise a small contingent of positions. Provide effective planning, policy, budgeting, legislative, and regulation framework for the CIOs programs. Act as Chief Analyst responsible for determining the effectiveness of the programs and CIOs operations. Direct the development and preparation of congressional testimony, bill reports, and responses to request for information. Participate as a key member of the CIOs senior management team in the development of strategic and operational plans, complex cross cutting information collection and analysis, and decision-making.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: identifying and analyzing the Internal Government-wide impact of legislation and new external policies on existing global public health programmatic efforts; and developing, implementing, and analyzing strategic public health-related programmatic policies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
