Provides budgetary estimates based on an analysis of usage to support requests for travel budget authority across all four fiscal quarters, ensuring interface of the travel system with the financial management system, reviewing/correcting rejects, establishing and verifying accuracy of employee records in both systems and processing corrective action when warranted. Duties
Duties consist of the following, but are not limited to:
Facility A/OPC (Agency/Organization Program Coordinator) for the Travel Charge Card program.
Responsible for the full range of travel card responsibilities from screening of applicants to determine appropriateness of issuance, submission of applications, monitoring card activity, issuing memorandums of misuse or inappropriate use, verification of TOY travel during times of use, and taking appropriate action to initiate collection for delinquent card holders.
Notifies his/her supervisor of mis-use and/or delinquencies relative to credit card holders and recommends appropriate level of action.
Initiates action to remove credit card when appropriate and ensures these individuals are not given cash advances to support future travel.
Ensures that employees who travel more than once in the fiscal year apply for the credit card.
Monitors a variety of monthly reports to ensure full compliance by all card holders with respective rules and regulations.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/11/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience with the travel program and of allowance expenses for local, temporary and permanent duty travel; Experience using applications of an extensive body of transportation regulations, methods, and practices; Experience screening tickets, itineraries, and bills involving domestic and/or foreign travel; Experience monitoring the Federal Register and any VACO directives/faxes daily to keep abreast of all changes regarding local and TOY travel; Experience applying travel and diverse regulations governing a wide variety or types of passenger travel to make arrangements, provide advice and perform other work that requires authoritative procedural knowledge of various travel policies or laws.
