As an integral member of the Quality Systems team, the incumbent provides specialized administrative support for the healthcare system quality management program as well as the Quality Systems Service (QSS). This position is assigned to QSS of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System.
Duties
Performs office automation duties using software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Assists with policy development and/or technical program activities of the organization.
Prepares meeting minutes and agendas.
Completes timekeeping responsibilities based on quality standards prescribed by VHA and
VATAS.
Manages Quality System's electronic and paper document/file program.
Processes all incoming and outgoing communication, to determine the nature of information to be provided or received and implement appropriate actions within their scope of responsibility.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/18/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the . The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. General Adjustment SF-50's with the effective date of within the last year do not provide the information to reflect time-in-grade requirement has been met and therefore cannot be the only SF-50. If you are currently serving in a Hybrid Title 38 position, your SF-50's must reflect you have been in the position longer than one year. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: perform office automation duties using software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. Prepares meeting minutes and agendas. Processes all incoming and outgoing communication. Receive visitors an incoming data. Send meeting invitation, scheduling the room, and coordinating any other special needs required. Serving as a timekeeper.

Physical Requirements: Regular and recurring work is mostly sedentary involving sitting at a desk. The incumbent works with a computer screen and keyboard. Physical effort may be required when transporting ordered materials or coordinating physical space moves. The work also involves some standing; bending and reaching; manual dexterity, including typing and managing paper forms; use of a computer/keyboard and driving a gold cart or automobile on the campus. There may be a certain amount of mental strain due to time constraints and frequent reviews and surveys by outsideentities; therefore, mental concentration is essential to meet crucial deadlines.
