Reclamation is seeking a Operator III, looking to make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.
Duty Location: Yuma, Arizona
Duties
Operates one or more types of heavy equipment at the journey level which requires specialized skills and training.
Operates Fixed and Swing cab cranes greater than 34 tons as required to support construction, maintenance, and operations of the Reclamation office to which assigned.
Operates amphibious equipment in conditions where current and deep water may be present.
Performs functions of transportation and earthwork tasks such as hauling, grading, compacting, loading, unloading, excavating, backfilling, and spreading soils and materials.
Operates rock crushing and screening equipment in a manner that is safe and efficient. Maintain required MSHA certifications.
Monitors and measures the operation, effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of heavy equipment operated in specialized and/or hazardous environments.
Operates equipment safely and in accordance with local, State, and Federal laws.
Work is performed outdoors and is exposed to extreme weather conditions found in the southwestern desert.
Work as a team on all project tasks.

Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement, and a current NCCCO in fixed and swing cab cranes, NCCCO certification as a Rigger/Signal person. Failure to provide proof of such license and NCCCO will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position.
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 12/15/2024.
