Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Operator II. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Yuma, Arizona

Duties

Operates heavy equipment such as heavy duty dump trucks, water trucks, tractor-trailers, loaders, excavators, motor-graders, and dozers. Operates equipment safely and in accordance with local, State, and Federal laws. Performs functions of transportation and earthwork tasks such as hauling, grading, compacting, loading, unloading, excavating, backfilling, and spreading soils and materials. Maintains operator's daily logs and other reporting data required for identifying equipment and labor costs associated with the task being performed. Work is performed outdoors and is exposed to extreme weather conditions found in the southwestern desert. Work as a team on all project tasks.

Qualifications

You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement - you must upload your license (both sides) with this application - failure to do so will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 03/28/2024.
