You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Material Execution Support Branch, Material Sourcing and Execution Division, Supply Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring all material required for the repair and alteration of ships during availability are ordered, expedited, received, and inspected to support production schedules.
You will support the execution of the logistics of material, tools and consumables handling from job planning to job execution and may be extended to other related work.
You will evaluate the efficiency of the shipyard material management and supply programs supporting the shipyard workload for CNO submarine availability or OPW which cover a wide span of supply and acquisition processes and procedures.
You will act as liaison between the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Naval Supply Systems command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), and private industry ensuring materials are available.
You will ensure that the shipyards non-standard requirements align with DLA and NAVSUP WSS acquisition requirements, meeting Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) requirements.
You will develop and execute the planning and coordination of complex material management plans for assigned projects.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and coordinating a material management program; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of supply operations; and mitigating industrial material problems to ensure material required for the repair and alteration of ships during availabilities are ordered, expedited, received, and inspected.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of supply operations and recommending solutions for industrial material problems to ensure material required for the repair and alteration of ships during availabilities are ordered, expedited, received, and inspected.
