You will serve as a Junior Project Material Manager, in the Material Sourcing and Execution Support Division, for the Supply Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will ensure all material required for repair and alternation of ships are ordered, expedited, reviewed and inspected to support production schedules. You will support the execution of logistics of material, tools, and consumable handling from job planning to execution. You will assist with the development and execution of the planning and coordination of complex material management plans for assigned projects. You will coordinate material from Department of Logistics Agency (DLS) and Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS). You will evaluate the efficiency of shipyard material management and supply programs to support shipyard workload. You will study and evaluate customer requirements, acquisition lead times, storage, inventory, and delivery.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

FOR GS-11 Grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating and executing material management plans and projects to support shipyard material management and supply programs. FOR GS-09 Grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and preparing supply project plans to ensure material requirements are met in support of the execution of shipyard material management and supply programs. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-11 Grade level:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
-OR-
LL.M., if related to the duties of the position.

For the GS-09 Grade level:
A Master's or equivalent graduate degree
-OR-
Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
-OR-
LL.B. or J.D., if related to the duties of the position.
