You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (Lightning Protection Program Manager) in the REQUIREMENTS BRANCH (PRY11), FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will manage Yorktown Lightning Protection Program IAW base instruction 11360.1G
You will Update PWD Yorktown Management on facility condition issues and work efforts being accomplished for PWD Yorktown facilities.
You will Input Purchase Requests for services for all emergent work and requirements as necessary.
You will update Maximo to reflect changes in condition of facility components repaired or replaced as well as reflecting changes due to construction of new facilities.
You will meet with representatives of the shops and contracting office to review work in progress and identify issues and concerns associated with projects from a life cycle maintenance perspective.
You will work with production supervisors and mechanics to ensure requirements are completed efficiently and provides quality control to ensure the appropriate fields in MAXIMO are updated when work is completed.
You will ensure work is submitted in accordance with NAVFAC MIDLANT policies and procedures.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

- Travel out of the area by GOV, POV, or by air would be the means of travel that may be required. Percentage of required travel is approximately 10%.
- This position is eligible for Situational Telework.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You may be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- Civilians/personnel assigned to positions involving daily responsibilities for ammunition and explosives shall have the applicable training (AMMO-29) or shall be
scheduled to complete the training as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying the principles, concepts, and methods of facility administration.
2) Applying knowledge and understanding of the NAVFAC organization, the Public Works Business Line, Facilities Maintenance & Sustainment (FM&S) operations, & the Public Works Departments.
3) Generating reports and developing metrics for senior leadership, PWBL Director, PLD & the PWDs.
4) Collaborating with the Public Works Departments on process improvements to reach metrics goals.
5) Investigating and diagnosing maintenance and repair problems within buildings to determine initial cause and initiate corrective action.
6) Utilizing a number of software programs and database systems to include Microsoft Office, Maximo, CostWorks, AutoCAD, iNFADS, and other authorized Navy software programs.
