You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (FFSC) in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS DEPARTMENT of NSF DAHLGREN.

Duties

You will serve as the principal advisor to the installation Commanding Officer (CO) on Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) related program delivery. You will present various types of information to groups to ensure the Fleet and Family Service Centers mission is conveyed in a clear and concise manner. You will develop reports, information papers, and talking points for Fleet Personal and Family Readiness programs. You will negotiate with customers (e.g., subordinate commands, other agencies, community organizations, and tenants) to resolve program issues and operational requirements. You will collaborate with program managers and other officials to formulate short-term and long-term program plans for an agency.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating, or executing resource management functions across a Family Support Program; 2) Advising leadership on identifying and addressing family readiness issues. 3) Managing allotted resources to achieve annual budget plans.
