This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Healthcare Experience and Interoperability (OHEI), Governance & Impact Analysis Group, in the Division of Policy and Operations. As an IT Program Manager (Data Management), GS-2210-12, you will provide technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for data systems, software, and complex programming specifications.

Duties

Conducts the development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data. Applies appropriate techniques for dealing with imperfect data such as probabilistic matching and imputation of missing values. Provides technical advice in the development and analysis of pilot initiatives and applications, and makes recommendations to management on the use of such technology as it relates to CMS data. Translates complex concepts and findings into concise, plain language consistent with mission goals that can be easily understood by a wide audience. Recommends improvements to upstream processes to improve data quality.
