You will serve as a Nuclear Production Training Specialist in the Operations Department of the Department of the Navy of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will review training plans, course outlines, text materials, handouts, class presentation, testing procedures, etc for consistency with course objectives, clarity, continuity education adequacy, and level of comprehension of course participants. You will confer with training coordinators and supervisors in identifying training needs. You will oversee the coordination of mockup training identified to support waterfront operations. You will ensure training programs conform to NAVSEA and local standards and requirements. You will identify and resolve training issues with the nuclear production training staffs. You will represent the Nuclear Production Training Manager in contacts with other Shipyard training organizations. You will conduct studies to correlate test performance. You will prepare interpretation of test results and recommendations where results may be significant as guides for action You will be responsible for implementation and evaluation of training courses designed to upgrade worker skills. You will monitor, evaluate and as required, propose revisions, substitutions or other improvements to training provided to nuclear production personnel. You will conduct analyses of test items to determine validity, reliability, degree of item coverage, suitability for intended use, etc.

  • Must be willing to work Overtime/Shift/Weekend/Holiday Work/Rotating Shifts

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: comprehensive knowledge of nuclear production trades, as well as a general working knowledge of the trade functions within the shipyard, procedures and processes associated with the repair and naval reactor plant overhaul operations and the ability to investigate and analyze practices and problems and recommend effective improvements and solutions. Skill in identifying specific problems, evaluating lessons learned from other projects, and new methods or work breakdown.
