Duties
You will plan, direct, supervise and evaluate the Installation’s Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) non-clinical program; and administrative oversight of the clinical program.
You will plan and develop local policies, procedures, and reporting requirements and systems to effectively
accomplish program goals.
You will develop and implement local ASAP SOPs and policies.
You will prepare local plan of action to include special projects/programs/campaigns such as the HQs Installation Management Command Prevention of Violence-In-The-Workplace, Installation Prevention Plan, the Alcohol Intervention, Suicide Prevention.
You will advise Installation, Garrison and other command staff on soldier high risk-behaviors, trends and
recommends actions for intervention.
You will perform all actions in support of non-clinical personnel, e.g. hiring, orienting, contracting, directing, supervising,
monitoring, and evaluating performance.
Requirements
- Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 10%.

This position has a Basic Requirement that must be met:
Degree: in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts at the time of application.)
OR
Combination of education and experience -- that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (You must submit a copy of your transcripts at the time of application.)
OR
Four (4) years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to meeting one of the above, you must also meet the specialized experience:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent which includes analyzing and/or interpreting the Substance Abuse Program concepts, principles, techniques, practices, laws, regulation and policies requiring extensive coordination with military and civilian agencies.
