About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Science and Technology Directorate, C5 Division, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Duties

Serves as the Chief of a cyber analysis branch within the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). Organize, manage, and administratively supervise a team of cyberspace intelligence analysts, scientists, and engineers, ensuring that finished products are accurate, timely, and meets the customers’ needs. Plans, coordinates, and leads the execution of technical intelligence analysis on foreign cyber exploits, threats,  and adversary cyber operations. Improves the synchronization, deconfliction, and coordination of the NGIC’s cyberspace analysis efforts with Army, DoD, and intelligence community partners. Ensures that NGIC’s analytic efforts support ARCYBER’s and USCYBERCOM’s missions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

For this position, individuals must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
