This position is located in the Division of Administration, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington, DC and is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting the day-to-day activities for the FDIC Personnel Security Program.

Duties
Adjudicates background investigation reports and Continuous Vetting (CV) alerts to determine the suitability, fitness or security eligibility of individuals who need access to FDIC facilities, networks/systems, and sensitive information.
Coordinates with Human Resources and evaluates official Position Descriptions (OF-8) to ensure the position sensitivity and risk levels have been properly designated in accordance with relevant policy and the signed Position Designation Tool results are maintained.
Provides authoritative information and guidance on Trusted Workforce 2.0 and other personnel security policies to employees at all levels of management within FDIC and to individuals external to the organization.
Prepares written summaries to communicate and justify final trust determinations for suitability, fitness, security eligibility or credentialing.
Writes and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for everyday operations within the Personnel Security Program (PERSEC) Program.
Conducts and prepares briefings to FDIC stakeholders on all matters related to Personnel Vetting and communicate program changes.
Represents FDIC at interagency security meetings, working groups and other forums that are tasked with formulating personnel vetting policies.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11- grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience rendering trust determinations; managing personnel security automated systems; preparing written material related to personnel vetting matters and providing guidance on personnel vetting policies and processes.
