About the Position: Serve as Chief, Plans and Operations Division, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security at a large garrison, located at Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security, Fort Bliss Texas
Duties
Develops emergency plans and procedures for the effective use of Army resources during no-plan situations.
Coordinates with other activities the relocation of existing units, activation and stationing of new units, and absorption of newly created units into the Army structure.
Facilitates for the garrison executive agency responsibilities in the areas of combating terrorism/force protection and domestic emergencies.
Provides overall continuity for operational, emergency and disaster preparedness planning and execution functions, unit mobilization actions, contingency planning, support to civil authority, and ceremonies.
Plans, oversees, assigns, and evaluates work of subordinates in the unit and assures reasonable equity among subordinates of performance standards and rating techniques developed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing support for effective execution of operational, emergency, contingency and disaster readiness. Coordinating operational and emergency contingency plans for preparedness of crisis situations. Developing emergency plans and procedures in the areas of terrorism/force protection and domestic emergencies. Providing resolution for problems that occur as operations, deployments, mobilization, contingency exercises and readiness training are conducted.
