You will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will develop and implement programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
You will act as a cybersecurity technical advisor for the organization and to the AO for the systems under their purview.
You will maintain a repository for all cybersecurity-related documentation, i.e. Cybersecurity Workforce management and tracking, Certification and Accreditation, and Computer Network Defense.
You will monitor information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policy, as appropriate, and review the results of such monitoring.
You will ensure that any cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of:
Information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring design and configuration of workstations, servers, or network devices are accurate and complete.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing customer information systems for risk to the organization, and monitoring information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policy, as appropriate.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Communicating and collaborating with team in areas of mutual interest and impact.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring that any cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN). Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Designing and configuring network devices; (2) Providing expert IT guidance to team members, agencies and leadership; (3) Assisting during the integration of multiple organizations; and (4) Ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity measures are implemented, followed, and recorded in a timely and accurate manner.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
