The Total Worker Health Program Manager is responsible for facilitating relationships and collaborating directly with the Executive and Management Council to set the vision, strategy, execution of plans and timelines for the development and implementation of a Total Worker Health enterprise-wide program.
Duties
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Office of Human Resources, Director's Office.
The Total Worker Health (TWH) Program is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive initiatives that create a healthy and safe work environment across the USPTO. Through the implementation of behavioral health programs and support the agency will create a safer, healthier, and more productive work environment by addressing a wide range of factors that affect workers health, safety and well- being such as mental health support, health screening and wellness checks and work-life balance initiatives.

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience with The Total Worker Health approach, emphasizing the fundamental role of high-quality work and healthy work design for safer, healthier workers.
Experience integrating organizational policies, programs, and practices that contribute to worker safety, health, and well-being.
Experience identifying new workplace solutions, practical approaches, and partnership opportunities to include applying Total Worker Health principles.
In addition the specialized experience listed above, the preferred candidate will have:
Specialized knowledge and experience in occupational health, industrial psychology, clinical psychology, and programs supporting healthy workplace culture to include having knowledge of federal workforce statutory, administrative, and executive orders relating to activities in the federal workplace.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
