This position is part of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE). The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a team leader for the AI&E Academy, reporting directly to the A&E Director.
Duties
Provides leadership, advice, and guidance on Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) integration with instructional design and delivery; the separate application of EPSS technology as a stand-alone instructional system; integration of other innovative learning-related technologies with instructional design and delivery, and the administrative processes associated with managing learning programs; and staff/instructor training in these platforms and processes.
Develops and delivers Academy learning and professional development products and services as well as assisting the colleagues and Academy Director with daily operations and customer support.
Serves as the backup and acting Academy Director in the absence of the AI&E Director.
Qualifications
At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification: Must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties the position. Specialized experience for this position is: Develops and implements web-based training courses. Utilizes technology to support workflow learning design principles and their application in instructional environments. Applies workflow learning/performance-support based learning methodologies. Develops new and innovative programs consistent with the principles and practices of adult learning, employee training, and instructional systems design. Recognizes problems or issues and identifies solutions to resolve them. Collects and analyzes data from a variety of sources, drawing pertinent conclusions, and makes relevant recommendations.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
