This position is part of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE). The incumbent will be responsible for providing support for the administrative operations team in human resources, financial management and procurement.
Duties
Prepares and initiates a full range of personnel actions. Requests and assembles all required documents to specific personnel actions. Checks accuracy and follows up on due dates.
Reviews and reconciles internal reports produced by the financial management systems to determine compatibility at prior month's status and processes adjustments to correct or update reports.
Reviews the monthly collection reports, contacts agency points of contacts regarding overdue invoices and arrange payments.
Works collaboratively with colleagues within and external to the office on projects and working groups. Communicates analyses and conclusions to colleagues/management in the office.
Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification: Must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties the position. Specialized experience for this position is: Utilize advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques and principles of analysis and research to complete complex studies. Advise management regarding improved business and management practices and ongoing and projected programmatic activities. Apply advanced management and organizational principles and practices along with a comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and strategic planning. Apply Federal budget process, OMB, and GAO policies, directives, regulations, and strategies. Apply standard HR rules, procedures, and operating concerning recruitment and staffing, HR development, performance management, and executive resources.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
