About the Position: Serves as Chief of the Lessons Learned and Support Branch with responsibility for the development of Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Lessons Learned and editing of the Army wide Doctrinal and Training Literature Program products:
Duties
Demonstrate a broad knowledge of field artillery operations and fire support to write, edit and review and publish a variety of US Army Field Artillery manuals
Perform independent as well as coordinated studies involving all aspects of Air Defense Field Artillery
Participate in Army-wide activities and projects.
Reviews all doctrinal and technical documents produced to correct grammatical and typographical errors, misspelled words, improve structure and enhance clarity of presentation. Verifies facts to resolve possible factual or technical errors.
Advise the official representative or may represent USAFAS at conferences or working groups, decision meetings on.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive may be authorized
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Expenses may be authorized
- Defense National Relocation Program will NOT be authorized

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: a.) Editing, reviewing, and publishing a variety of US Air Defense Artillery manuals including Army doctrine publications. b.) Reviews and edits all doctrinal and technical documents produced. Proofreads and edits manuscripts and rewrites sentence to correct grammatical and typographical errors, misspelled words, improve structure and enhance clarity of presentation. Verifies facts to resolve possible factual or technical errors Performs independent as well as coordinated studies involving all aspects of Air Defense.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
