This position performs recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers. Incumbent utilizes knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts. The duties described by this position may not fully meet the type of work to be performed or there may be work that this position does not do in each of the specialties; however, if the general intent is met then this position is appropriate.
Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
Performs carpentry work including roofing, siding, door/window installation, interior/exterior finishing, historic preservation, and framing.
Performs custodial services, routine building and grounds maintenance, trail maintenance, and dock maintenance.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
Assists with technical maintenance such as plumbing, mechanics, and other utility work.
Will operate push and riding lawnmowers to maintain historic landscapes and housing areas.
Operate trucks up to 10,000GVW. Will assist other divisions as directed.

Minimum Qualification:
Able to perform common maintenance worker duties associated with more than one trade area such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and other trades appropriate to this position without more than normal supervision. Take initiative to solve problems and accomplish work assignments in a safe manner.
