You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Material Support Division of the Industrial Support Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will serve as the on-site representative for inventory management of depot maintenance material and direct oversite of supporting warehouses.
You will ensure proper flow of incoming and outgoing inventory to support maintenance planning and production.
You will determine current and anticipated storage requirements and advise supervisors.
You will continuously review warehousing activities to ensure processes stay current with required support as well as maintaining best utilization of space and equipment.
You will analyze command regulations, operating procedures and command policies to determine the impact on affected areas of operations.
You will perform stock reconciliation.
You will coordinate special services required for movement of equipment and material in support of shipping and delivery as well as facility maintenance to ensure proper care and appearance of assigned warehouses.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Inventory Management Specialist work applying a practical knowledge of well-established and commonly applied supply program principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management and supply procedures as they relate to government owned material to perform analytical work in managing, regulating, coordinating, or otherwise exercising control over supplies, equipment, or other material in support of ships repair and maintenance. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Determining current and anticipated storage requirements; 2) Participating in reviewing warehousing activities to ensure processes stay current; and 3) Ensuring proper flow of incoming and outgoing inventory to support maintenance planning and production.
