This position serves as an IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) providing technical expertise in cloud services and implementing the full software development life cycle by utilizing emerging technologies and solutions in support of cloud design principles. Position is located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Service Delivery Staff (SDS), Applications and Web Services Section (AWS), in Washington, DC.

The duties and responsibilities as an IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) GS-2210-14 generally include, but are not limited to the following: Manages the cloud platform day to day operations and stays versed in the latest technologies to improve processes. Provides application software support that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, and implementation of new or existing applications software in a low code/no code environment to include Service now (Such as ITSM, HRSD, ITOM and Platform) while utilizing Agile Methodology. Manages project teams to carry out processes for optimal use and have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and various stakeholders of cloud service offerings. Manages the procedures for securing the security of any cloud platform service to include support and implementation.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. AND Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Demonstrating knowledge of IT cloud technology, theories, methods, and practices related to Cloud Platform support services; AND Assisting with the development of applications software and support of new or existing applications software such as Service Now; AND Applying IT project management principles, methods, concepts, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments.
