Duties

Serve as the DLA Energy Section Chief for Property, Plant and Equipment. Responsible for the supervision and oversight of a wide variety of support services unique to DLA Energy to include Property, Plant and Equipment services, Real Property (RP) assets, and Military Departments and DoD agencies. Direct the work of employees engaged in providing Property, Plant and Equipment accountability and financial reporting, management of real and personal property, and full compliance with all applicable regulations and inspections. Provide technical assistance to the Branch Chief by inspecting the physical conditions of facilities, installed equipment, and real property improvements. Furnish administrative and management support to develop, coordinate and implement policies, procedures, programs, and daily planning in support of the mission. Provide input to the Branch Chief for program management and oversight for DLA Energy Property, Plant and Equipment in accordance with DoD Property Accountability and DLA Real Property management guidance. Participate in the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Business System (EBS) and other automated tools for use by field personnel for RP, facility project management, and accountability. Trace any constantly evolving mission requirements, resource capabilities, regulatory restraints, customer base, and workload progression.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Property, Plant and Equipment Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only),time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Overseeing of a wide variety of Property, Plant and Equipment (PP&E) support services and regulating management of assets. Furnishing administrative and management support to develop, coordinate and implement policies, procedures, programs, and daily planning in support of the agency mission. Providing functional development and maintenance of Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) and other automated tools to track various business operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
