You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the BRIDGE INTEGRATION/SHIP CONTROL SYSTEM & TARGETED HM&E SYSTEMS PROGRAM OFFICE in the SURFACE SHIP MAINTINANCE MODIFICATION & SUSTAINMENT DIRECTORATE of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

Duties

You will develop and administer strategic integrated logistics support plans, goals, and objectives. You will manage resources including labor, materials, contracts, and industrial support. You will prepare preliminary program budgets to identify work year projections. You will solve broad integrated logistics support related sustainment problems and implements strategic plans. You will develop reports and briefs describing objectives, procedures, and results of new or improved developments, concepts, and/or techniques in support of logistics products. You will track tasking to ensure key milestones are met. You will manage program operational aspects including cost estimating and budget analysis; risk management; scheduling; program and project system engineering plans; and the program acquisition strategy to ensure technical rigor. You will develop and implement programmatic strategy, policy and plans to support planning, processes, and execution of related actions supporting overall program execution.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) operations for ship systems to ensure quality, cost, schedule and technical requirements are met.
