You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Business Operations Branch (D1B) of the EOD Information Management Division (D1) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will serve as Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) responsible for the flow of information into the division ensuring information is provided to the right organization or person at the right time. You will verify that information products developed by the department are managed and provided to customers in a timely manner. You will utilize the latest technological tools; facilitate communities of practice or communities of interest; lead data mining efforts; and identify and understand knowledge sharing needs and knowledge gaps. You will categorize, classify, assure timeliness and relevance of information. You will advise on processes, procedures, technologies, and training to ensure effective management of information into and out of the division.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing analytical tools (e.g. software, database) to analyze and provide Explosive Ordnance Disposal information for customer use and identify solutions for improvement of ordnance products, projects, or programs.
