You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) in the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS.
OCHR Operations has a current Telework policy, that, at a minimum, requires employees to physically report to the official worksite at least twice in each biweekly pay period. Note: All Telework Agreements are subject to approval at the discretion of the Supervisor based on mission requirements. Telework is not guaranteed.
Duties
You will apply basic Human Resources (HR) regulations, rules and procedures to perform a wide variety of functions in support of recruitment and placement operations.
You will generate and prepare reports by extracting data and creating spreadsheets, using these reports to verify accuracy of information within database.
You will input and manipulate data to ensure accurate processing of a full range of personnel actions. Actions may range from accessions, separations, position changes, reassignments, realignments, promotions, and transfers.
You will consolidate records for employees who have transferred from other Agencies to ensure leave, retirement and other information accrues accurately.
You will apply pay setting rules for general schedule employees for adherence to regulatory requirements.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying Human Resources rules, procedures, and operations to perform to process a variety of personnel actions, to include providing information and advice on the use of automated HR action processing systems in an HR organization.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: applying Human Resources rules, procedures, and operations to assist in processing a personnel actions for an HR organization.
