You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Business Operations Branch, Trusted Microelectronics Division, Global Deterrence Defense Dept. of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).

Duties

You will assist the ISSMs in meeting their duties and responsibilities. You will implement and enforce all cybersecurity policies and procedures. You will ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization. You will initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered. You will ensure that all DoD IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: implementing and coordinating new technologies to develop solutions to operational problems in support of an organization's current and planned IT infrastructure. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
