The Program Support Assistant -Whole Health Program Assistant provides Project Coordinator support at the local facility level for the national evaluation of the Whole Health Demonstration project. The position will assist and carry out work for various projects on the utilization, costs, tracking and outcomes of the implementation of the Whole Health System.
Duties
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Organizes and plans activities and meetings for Whole Health including making travel arrangements for conferences and meetings for staff.
Maintains confidentiality in communicating sensitive information and in
handling confidential materials.
Helps maintain cascade call list.
Serves as Information Manager and PIV Pin Re-setter for Whole Health.
Serves as education and assistant for computer related applications for staff.
Initiate requests for purchase of supplies and equipment that are of special interest to this section.
Serves as Records Liaison and timekeeper for Whole Health.
Attends and records, finalizes and distributes the minute of professional staff meetings, committee meetings, and counseling sessions, etc.
Tracks educational training to ensure mandatory training has been completed by Whole Health employees.
Uploads Competency folders for all employees and keeps the records up to date.
May help with outreach and tabling events as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule: MONDAY through FRIDAY, 7:30AM-4:00PM

Qualifications

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Generalized Experience: One (1) full year of generalized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Program Support Assistant at the full performance level (GS-5), and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, generalized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal service. Generalized experience includes: experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; answering telephones, referring visitors, and providing information. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.. OR,
Education: Successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Transcripts must be submitted at time of application. OR,
Combination: Equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. Transcripts must be submitted at time of application.

Physical Requirements: The work may involve occasional travel. The work is sedentary. Typically, the position sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. May be required to wear personal protective equipment if applicable. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Work will be conducted in a safe manner adhering to Medical Center safety policies. Occasional travel is necessary.
