About the Position: Serves as expert logistics management specialist and plans team leader in the Fusion Branch, Operations Division, of the Operational and Readiness Directorate, DCS G-3, U.S Army Materiel Command (AMC).
Duties
Develop plans, programs, policies, and procedures that affect Army operational capabilities and resource strategies.
Serve as expert advisor to the command and subordinate commands, provides guidance and interpretation of policies, procedures and practices related to contingency and emergency planning.
Direct, manage and integrate AMC crisis action planning. Recommends courses of action in emergencies and directs the execution of plans. Monitors plan execution while identifying shortfalls and directing corrective action.
Coordinate and synchronize efforts across AMC MSCs and HQ staff and leaders to produce sustainability assessments of AMC’s capability to support contingency and operations plans.
Conduct analyses of contingency and emergency plans at the HQAMC and HQ DA levels to support of logistics requirements and readiness issues.
Synchronize, and integrate AMC capabilities into Combatant Command (COCOM) Army Service Component Command (ASCC) plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Developing plans, programs, policies, and procedures for a command related to logistics operational capabilities and resource strategies; (2) Conducting analysis of contingency/emergency plans to support logistics requirements and readiness issues; (3) Managing and directing crisis action responses; AND (4) Advising and providing strategic level briefings to senior leaders, including General Officers and Senior Executive Service officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13.
