You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Air Systems Command of NAVAL AIR SYSTEM COMMAND HQ-OSF.
Duties
You will perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems.
You will review and justify requirements for new support facilities and plans the activation of system support sites.
You will recommend development/production go ahead to the system program/project manager the acceptability of the system from a logistics/maintenance standpoint.
You will review and approve any changes to logistics plans, including Maintenance Plans.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possessing an understanding of the field of Integrated Logistics Support. 2) Participating in the development and design of new systems by assessing the supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology applications. 3) Reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), assessing the impact of changes to ILS, and recommending approval/disapproval based on trade-off analyses between improved performance/supportability and additional costs.
