You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) in the Personnel Information Management Department (PERS-3) of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide military personnel practices and programs regarding the operation of Military Personnel Record System (EMPRS).
You will provide advice and guidance to administrative and military personnel office staff on the operation and capabilities of EMPRS.
You will review selection board processes and procedures in the development of plans for improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of EMPRS.
You will ensure selection board information is complete and ready for the execution of board operations.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using a military personnel record system such as the Electronic Military Personnel Record System (EMPRS); 2) Training others on a military personnel record system; 3) Coordinating with respective board sponsors to ensure eligibility lists and membership information is accurate and loaded into boards to support operations; and 4) Ensuring record accuracy for smooth selection board operations.
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using a military personnel record system such as the Electronic Military Personnel Record System (EMPRS); 2) Researching and analyzing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in relation to personnel programs; 3) Conducting quality assurance testing to ensure procedures conform to established guidelines; and 4) Retrieving data to be examined during promotion and selection boards.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
