You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) in the MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will assist the Officer in Charge by managing and providing continuity to the Separation and Retirement Section of the Outbound Branch.
You will review the process of all assigned work, and when necessary, makes adjustments to individual workload.
You will interview personnel and screen service records to prepare official documents of major career or service significance.
You will make detailed regulatory and procedural review of personnel requests for early separation.
You will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of reporting all separation information.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Balancing workloads, resolving problems, reviewing assigned work, and counseling personnel on pay, benefits and entitlements.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing office procedures, resolving problems, reviewing assigned work, interviewing personnel, and counseling personnel on pay, benefits, and entitlements.
