Duties
Serves as the office manager of the Office of the Director, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) providing high-level administrative support and coordination for senior executives (federal GOFO/SES level).
Independently establishes and monitors suspense on all incoming actions. Accepts, records, and monitors DoD and external tasking sent to the Agency via the DoD tasking system.
Receives visitors and telephone calls from high-ranking officials of the Federal government, non-DoD agencies, members of Congress, the Executive Branch, foreign governments, representatives of industry, and staff and regional directors.
Oversee Agency-wide correspondence management, including processing, distribution, and archiving in line with DoD policies. Develop guidance, review correspondence for regulation adherence, and educate staff on formats.
Serve as records management officer, analyzing official correspondence to ensure compliance with directives and manuals. Ensure front office correspondence is properly processed and archived.
Provide agency staff accurate, timely advice on procedures, reports, and other matters necessary to implement the Director's policies, directives and instructions.
Operate and maintain a Government Vehicle, ensuring vehicle upkeep and safe transportation of Senior Executives in the National Capital Region.
Knowledgeable of structure and operations of the Office of the Secretary of Defense or similar federal headquarters staff organization. This position interacts daily with senior officials and headquarters staff elements in the Pentagon.

Qualifications
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Specialized Experience:
For the GS-9: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-7 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes: Assisting with receiving, analyzing, and the controls of internal and external tasks to an agency (i.e. CATMS, TMT, ETMS2, etc.); advising senior leaders on status of tasks; assisting with coordination of office resources and administrative programs; assisting with an office correspondence.
For the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-9 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes: progressively independently receiving, analyzing, and the control of internal and external tasks to an agency (i.e. CATMS, TMT, ETMS2, etc.); advising senior leaderson completeness of tasks; coordinates office resources and administrative programs; managing official correspondence in accordance with policies.
For the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience includes: receiving, analyzing, and the control of internal and external tasks to an agency (i.e. CATMS, TMT, ETMS2, etc.); advising senior leaders on completeness of tasks; coordinates office resources and administrative programs; managing official correspondence in accordance with policies.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:
GS-9 - Education: Applicants may substitute education for the experience required for the GS-09 level. Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B, or J.D., if related. Education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR,
GS-9 - Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of successfully completed graduate level education (beyond the first year) and specialized experience as described above, to meet the total experience requirements. GS-11 - Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree OR an LL.M., if related. GA-11 Combination: a combination of specialized experience and education beyond 2 full years of graduate level education. (Transcript documentation required).
GS-12: There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.
