Duties
You will be responsible for planning and implementation of IT systems/network requirements to meet command objectives.
You will provide guidance on operational and contingency planning to functional users; coordinates changes to programs necessitated by technological upgrades, to include modification of requirements and/or changes in funding.
You will maintain central repository currency of IT infrastructure mapping/circuit diagrams of command on premise telecommunications cabling, to include ingress/egress points across Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex facilities.
You will Coordinate with N10 Facilities Engineer, to maintain currency of IT infrastructure mapping and circuit diagrams of command telecommunications cabling.
You will serve as the primary liaison to respective contract site leads, ensuring contract deliverables, such as customer service levels and quality of work products, are met.
You will initiate new equipment and system proposals to satisfy short- and long-term network and software requirements. Represents the command in related requirements document generation.

- Incumbent is subject to periodic counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraphs.
- Employee must achieve and maintain all command required certifications.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP), and the incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Required to report to the command when requested.
- May be required to travel or perform temporary additional duty assignments approximately 10% of the time both inside and outside the Continental United States in executing assigned technical advisory or consultation duties.
- May be exposed to hazardous or hostile environments and may be authorized special/danger pay as provided by the Department of State. The Office of Personnel Management, or other agency regulations.
- Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450), Employment and Financial Interests, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD 5500.7-R, Joint Ethics Regulations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Isolating and defining unprecedented conditions; resolving critical IT/IM issues; and developing, testing, and/or implementing new technologies that can increase IT/IM systems' effectiveness.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
