You will serve as a Security Officer in the Directorate Logistics Supply and Support, Maritime Headquarters of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Duties
You will oversee responsibilities, acting as subject matter expert to the Surgeon General of the Navy.
You will serve as program manager and as the Echelon II principal advisor to the Surgeon General on all matters pertaining to the Department of the Navy (DoN).
You will effectively operate in a dynamic headquarters matrix organizational structure that includes coordinating, mediating, and reconciling diverse and complex security management perspectives, etc.
You will perform the full range of supervisory duties including administrative supervision, work planning and organization, development of program goals and objectives, establish work schedules, etc.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in managing various programs and people at the Echelon II level (Navy) or comparable.
Experience of security requirements established in Executive Orders, legislations, regulations, DOD policy or similar.
Experience of wide range of security concepts, principles, procedures, applying policy direction to specific operations requirements to perform key decision-making, policy developing responsibilities.
Experience as Program Manager with responsibility for oversite, development, assessment, compliance and evaluation of robust suite of security functional areas and emergency management program within Navy Medicine.
Experience utilizing effective management of Personnel Security, Information Security, Industrial Security, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection, Insider Threat, and Emergency Management programs.
Experience providing authoritative information, guidance, and assistance to senior Department of Defense (DoD) and DoN officials by advising on Mission Assurance assigned program policies and related matters as they apply enterprise wide across the organization.
Experience identifying and sharing operational risks and risk mitigation strategies that affect the operational effective ness of expeditionary medical platforms.
