Duties
You will serve as the Team Leader to the Configuration Management (CM) and Documentation Control Team for the Facility Technical Proficiency Evaluation (FTPE) team at Strategic Weapons Facilities, Naval Ordnance Test Unit, and the UK.
You will serve as the CM Subject Matter Expert and gives advice and guidance to every branch, PMO, prime contractor, field activity, SWF, and boat.
You will provide direction to contractors engaged in the compilation and promulgation of SSP Alterations (SPALTs) concerning configuration items identification/design disclosure, configuration control and status accounting.
You will develop and interpret policies, plans and procedures to document, evaluate, approve and implement changes in the approved configuration of all U.S./UK weapon system programs and underlying subsystems.
You will coordinate with other disciplines to include systems engineering, logistics support, production, quality assurance, reliability, maintenance and operations.
You will plan, organize, and conducts SPALT Audits of SPALT Implementation and control at SWFLANT and SWFPAC and aboard operational SSBNs.
You will participates in SSP Command inspections in the engineering and Technical Program Management (TPM) disciplines.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Nuclear Deterrent Mission position.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating configuration management policies and procedures to effectively and efficiently develop and implement policy changes for the Configuration Management program life cycle.
