You will function as a Supervisory Production Manager for a major product line (Code FRC-N42), located in the MRO Production Division ofFLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will ensure that quality, timely, and affordable products are delivered in support of the warfighter. You will direct the development of comprehensive product plans to ensure fulfillment of quality, schedule, cost, and performance requirements. You will establish, monitor, and take corrective action to achieve integrated product team (IPT) goals and objectives and accomplish assigned program requirements. You will manage production of assigned product and mitigates product risks that inhibit the achievement of the strategic goals of the organization. You will provide direction to all IPT members and to other personnel directly assigned or identified to support the assigned product. You will identify and defend resource requirements (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.). You will plan work to be accomplished by IPT and subordinates as well as set and adjust priorities, and oversee the development of schedules for completion of work. You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings. You will prepare and present oral and written presentations to stakeholders to justify product support and life cycle sustainment strategies. You will interface with internal and external contacts in support agency mission and aviation program objectives. You will accomplish other duties as assigned. This position may be subject to travel by commercial or military air, or by other normal modes of transportation in accordance with established travel regulations. You will be required to working protracted hours and working all shifts on a rotational basis. This position may be subject to participating in medical surveillance program identified stressor(s). You must be able to walk, stoop, and stand for extended periods to cover all shop areas that are highly dispersed geographically. This position is subject to monitoring and ensuring compliance of subordinate staff certification and license requirements as condition of employment. You must wear safety protective equipment/devices as prescribed by appropriate regulations to accomplish various work assignments. This position is subject to excessive heat, cold, noise and industrial hazards.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing production support to an aircraft program, including planning, budgeting, negotiating, and authorizing the work performed to ensure production goals are met. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying working knowledge of planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, industrial engineering, shop capacity, and production workload control to prevent scheduling conflicts, production delays, and material shortages in support of assigned aviation program/project; 2) Maintaining records of negotiated hours, approved costs, and expenditures to provide an accurate audit trail; 3) Determining if aircraft components need to be repaired or replaced based on financial requirements and established timelines; 4) Authorizing material ordering, tracking, receiving, and delivery; and 5) Interpreting and writing reports (i.e., funding documents and expense reports) in support of assigned aircraft program.
