About the Position: As a Community Ready and Resilient Integrator, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning, organizing and implementing a comprehensive health promotion and wellness program. This position is located with the Headquarters JRTC & Fort Johnson Assistant Chief of Staff, G1 in Fort Johnson, Louisiana.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Commander/Commanding General’s advisor for execution of Higher HQs guidance to provide support as the action officer responsible for staffing of policy recommendations at the local level, and HHQs.
Identify installation resources and training programs to partner with Public Affairs and local media to market programs and services as needed.
Analyze current program shortfalls to lead planning and shaping efforts to mitigate emerging threats.
Provides personnel readiness updates to upper management and leverages proven Public Health practices to support agreed upon studies and analysis.
Create Commanders Ready and Resilient Council (CR2C) standards for publication in accordance with management and integration requirements.
Collect data to interpret findings while utilizing the Army’s Strategic Management System and other databases.
Develop a Strategic Installation Health Promotion Plan which measures a comprehensive marketing strategy that targets improvement areas regarding social connection, spiritual strength, and physical, psychological and family readiness.
Oversee the strategic implementation of prevention efforts, deterrence efforts, crisis response efforts, risk mitigation efforts implemented across tactical, Command, Garrison, and Medical echelons.
Organize projects that support improvements for Service Members and Family Members to provide a linkage of programs that support the Health of the Force (HoF).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the selectee can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes organizing a comprehensive community health or wellness program to sustain personal readiness, providing recommendations to improve human performance amid uncertainty, providing advice for the health promotion and/or wellness programs to senior leaders, OR reviewing programs for effective performance to allocate training and resources opportunities.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
