You will serve as a MISSION SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG) in one of the following three Commands:
1 vacancy - Office of Special Trial Counsel - Naval Station Complex, San Diego, California
1 vacancy - Region Legal Service Office Southeast - Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia
1 vacancy - Defense Service Office Southeast - Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia.
Duties
You will serve as the primary liaison for all incoming contacts to the Department.
You will greet visitors, process requests for appointments, receive and relay messages, and maintain professional decorum, neatness and cleanliness of all common areas in office suite.
You will answer incoming phone calls and inquiries from visitors, using utmost discretion in screening and referring calls/visitors to the appropriate staff member or attorney.
You will respond to routine and highly technical requests for information such as status reports, suspense dates for matters requiring regulatory compliance, and similar information readily available in files and databases.
You will control and manage all incoming correspondence using established office procedures and knowledge of the organization.
You will conduct initial client intake by completing the electronic client intake sheet on a local office data program and schedules clients for appointments.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Identifying and analyzing problems; weighing relevance and accuracy of information; seeking/generating and evaluating alternative perspectives/solutions; making timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions; 2) Utilizing interpersonal skills to liaise with commands, victims, witnesses, attorneys, investigators, and other Navy stakeholders to schedule appointments, receive and give updates on the status of cases; 3) Selecting, acquiring, storing, or distributing an organization's resources in the most efficient way possible. Such resources may include materials, equipment, financial resources, inventory, human skills, production resources, or information technology (IT); 4) Preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents; maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports; 5) Keeping a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates, and similar clerical support work within an organization; and 6) Applying a knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro software.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education.
- Successfully earned a Bachelor's Degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
