You will serve as a N44 DEPUTY TYPE COMMAND MAT INSP TEAM in the office of the ASSISTANT CHIEF OF STUFF (ACOS) of CNSP WTRFNT REDI.
Duties
You will be responsible for providing manpower, manning, equipment, maintenance, material, and training for all Surface Force major ship classes.
You will be responsible for coordinating and executing Readiness Evaluations, Ready for Sea Assessments, and Material Inspections.
You will serve as a principal advisor, subject matter and technical expert on Surface Force assessments, and associated readiness processes to materially prepare Surface Force ships for forward deployed operations.
You will coordinate with outside organizations to balance CNSP requirements with the needs of other organizations.
You will analyze resource requirements (manpower, operational requirements, travel/financial) and develops and presents authoritative recommendations to CNSP executive staff on managing risks to missions and programs.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
You will make changes in work methods, organization of work, or assignment of functions to subordinate positions to improve work-flow.
You will lead the development of program policies and provide expert advice on the interpretation and implementation of Readiness and Assessments planning policies issues by higher authority.
You will analyze current programs to identify, develop, and revise existing procedures.
You will interpret technical policy, procedures, and regulations and provide technical and administrative advice and assistance, as required, to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work.
You will determine policy deficiencies in overall operations and initiate changes in policies, procedures, and assignments.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position may require you to perform temporary additional duty at sea on naval ships and/or at private shipyard.

Qualifications
For the GS-14:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating surface ship readiness and assessment programs by analyzing resource requirements (e.g. manpower, operational requirements, travel/financial, budget execution) to develop recommendations and implement procedural changes to resolve material readiness problems in support of ship operations.
